All HOYS qualifiers are allocated by Grandstand Media. BSHA can suggest shows to hold qualifiers but the final decision is with Grandstand Media, likewise the judges chosen to judge at HOYS.

Thank  you to everyone who took the time and trouble to nominate older horses that had had very successful show careers for the HOYS parade. Unfortunately HOYS have decided that the parade will not now include horses, only people, due to health & safety considerations. Thank you again for contacting us, we enjoyed reading about these amazing horses, many of whom have gone on to be just as successful in other fields.

Rule 4c - Qualifying Shows

Judges may not judge at more than one qualifying round for the RIHS or the HOYS for Hacks, Cobs and RIding Horses in any one year. If judging at the RIHS or HOYS Judges may not judge a qualifier in the same category during the same year for whichever show they are judging. ie if judging at the RIHS they may not judge a RIHS qualifying show for that category.
